Organize Your Kitchen in Just Five Days

Updated: May 11, 2020

Kitchens are often referred to as the heart of the home. But it is also often one of the areas that my clients complain about most. Why do you think that the kitchen gets so cluttered? Maybe it's because we often use this space for more than just cooking. Yes, the kitchen often also serves as an office, maybe a classroom or even a craft space. It is the place where the mail gets dumped and the last stop of backpacks and school work.

The thought of decluttering the kitchen might be a frightening thought. It might even cause anxiety to creep in. We often feel overwhelmed just thinking of where to start and all that needs to get done. That's where I jump in to help!

I have created an easy checklist to get your kitchen organized in less than a week! The concept is simple - declutter six things from the space every day for five days straight. Anyone can find the time to do this! Here's a printable to get you started:

So how do you get started?

First you will want to print the checklist. It will be both motivating and satisfying to physically cross each thing off the list.

Then you want to pick a day to start. My example starts on Monday but you can choose any day of the week that works with your schedule

Next start with the first day only. I highly recommend not jumping ahead. This can lead to mental and physical fatigue throwing you off track. Slow and steady wins the race here.

Follow each day until all five days are complete. Then enjoy you nice and tidy kitchen!

I would LOVE to see your uncluttered space. Share a picture on our Facebook page by clicking here. Cheers to clean kitchens!
